New Delhi, March 18: Nationalist Congress Party president Sharad Pawar on Sunday said his party would vote in favour of any motion brought in the Parliament against the NDA government on the Tehelka expose, but was against stalling of proceedings in the House on the issue. The NCP leader said he would be meeting leaders of various opposition parties on Monday to find a solution to the impasse in the Parliament.``The expose was shocking and involves the security of the country. In the event of any party bringing a motion against the government on the issue, NCP MPs will vote in its favour,'' Mr Pawar told reporters after addressing a kisan rally at Najafgarh.
On the alternative government propositions mooted by the Congress and Third Front parties, he said it was `premature.' ``Is mamle me itna uthavlepan nahi dikhana chahiye (there should be no unnecessary haste on the issue).
He said: ``Still the number in the Lok Sabha is in favour of the NDA government.''
He evaded a direct reply when asked whether he is demanding the resignation of the Vajpayee government on the Tehelka issue, saying ``the government will have to pay for it when the time comes.''
Earlier, addressing the farmers rally, he accused the NDA government of being inconsiderate to the farmer's plight.
As a result of removal of quantitative restrictions as per the WTO diktats, Mr Pawar said the government has encouraged cheap import of agricultural products and as a reslt our farmers are not getting a fair price for their produces.''
