Mumbai, March 12 : Chemexcil has called for co-operation and a comprehensive understanding of the laws and bye-laws governing the regulations of precursor chemicals between the government bodies and the chemical industry. Manufacturers have been urged to execute better control in the management and utilisation of precursor chemicals."For better control, management and utilisation of precursor chemicals, co-operation and a comprehensive understanding of the laws and bye-laws governing the regulations of controlled substances is essential between the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN), Customs, DGFT (department of chemicals), Drug Controller of India and the chemical industry," an official release said.
These were some of the suggestions made at a seminar organised by Chemexcil and UNDCP Regional Precursor Control Project for Saarc countries in Mumbai on Monday.
