Four Bihar telecom circle officials suspended
The government on Monday issued suspension orders to four telecom officials of the Bihar telecom circle, following reports of serious discrepancies in telephone billing of subscribers. The telecom officials at Darbhanga secondary switching area had charged subscribers abnormally excessive telephone bills, thereby putting them to considerable inconvenience, according to an official release. CBC Marketplace Network launched
The Commonwealth Business Council on Monday announced the creation of a network of eMarketplaces branded as the CBC Marketplace Network. The CBC Marketplace Network initiative is being driven by the Commonwealth Business council's vision of an open Commonwealth wide e-commerce ecosystem based on interoperability between participating eMarketplace platforms in each of the 54 countries, including India, which are members of the CBC. Elcom will provide the software technology platform for the CBC Marketplace Network.
Patni Computer Systems deploys ERP package
Mumbai-based PCS Limited (Patni Computer Systems Limited) has purchased an ERP package from PeopleSoft to consolidate and streamline their operations worldwide, in the finance, HR and project management sector. The company has invested approximately Rs two crore in the purchase, implementation and customisation of this software - the PeopleSoft ERP package. Mr Satish Joshi, senior VP Patni Computer Systems said that with the implementation of this software the company expects the invoicing cycle time to be cut by almost 100 per cent. This ERP package will also enable individual project level profit and loss analysis. Mr Joshi added that with this every member of PCS would now be able to interact with the software.
