My Home -- WSL unveils new software for the family

Hyderabad : The Pune-based Washington Softwares Limited (WSL), engaged in developing knowledged-based software products, has launched `My Home' - a unique global home product targeting families here on Monday for all India markets. Claimed to be the first of its kind in the world, `My Home' enables organising family affairs, accounts, asset management as well as various family data, Mr Sanjay Sonawani, chairman, WSL, told presspersons. With this software package, one can run the household affairs far more efficiently than ever. The idea behind developing this product after taken into consideration and studying needs of the modern families, which are deprived of help in managing day-to-day home affairs, Mr Sonawani explained. `My Home' has several features such as budgeting, accounting, maintaining, virtual pass books, tracking family assets, balance sheets, diaries, memoir, e-mails, reminders, preserving family audio-video albums, data management on family members, he said.The company has decided to market this product through wide distribution network being established all over India. On the overseas front, it is holding talks with Barns & Nobles of the US, Radioshack (Europe) and Innocon Technologies of Singapore, he said. WSL has priced this product at a low of Rs 350 to make affordable to every PC user as well as to stop piracy, Mr Sonawani pointed out. The company will also introduce this package in foreign languages. WSL, which has invested Rs 8 crore so far in Pune development centre, is investing another Rs 5 crore in its US operations to take care of global marketing of this product, he said.
