RPL to export 1 million tonnes diesel to Brazil

New Delhi, Feb 27 : Reliance Petroleum Ltd (RPL) will export a total of 1million tonnes (mt) of diesel to Brazil during the year 2001 as part of aterm contract. Consequently, RPL will earn over $250 million in foreignexchange, company sources said on Tuesday.As part of the term contract, the company has already made a few dispatchesfrom its 27 mt Jamnagar refinery in Gujarat. RPL, which commissioned itsrefinery in December 1999, exported petro products valued at Rs 4,714 croreduring the first three quarters of the current fiscal, sources said, addingthat this made the company the largest manufacturer-exporter.
