New tour package from Cox & King's

Our Corporate Bureau
Mumbai, Feb 18: International tour operator, Cox & Kings, has launched a new tour package called `Duniya Dekho 2001' which promises an exciting holiday to new destinations, in addition to the usual European countries.

Cox & King's director (operations) Arup Sen said that Greek isle, Spain, Portugal and Turkey will be the new destinations offered to customers this time. The company, however, does not have any plans to hike the tour price in the immediate future, added Mr Sen. He added that Cox & King's had added Czechoslovakia to their list of destinations last year and it was an instant hit, following which the company decided to added more destinations. "Turkey will be portrayed as the seat of learning and it has a long history which will interest the customers," reasoned Mr Sen.

He added that the US and Europe still remains the favourite choice for those venturing abroad for the first time but the second timers always look for unusual destinations which will also offer them an opportunity for learning. The company plans to open new offices at Turkey and Dubai as there is good business potential in these countries, added Mr Sen. The tourism industry in India is growing at the rate of about 18 per cent but is still in its infancy, he said adding that the middle class is the new emerging customer.
