The Coimbatore-based CG-Vak Software and Exports Ltd plans to set up a development centre in Bangalore. The centre will be operational by mid-2001 and would initially house 75 professionals. An investment of Rs 1.5 crore is planned, said Mr G Suresh, managing director of the company.The software outfit operates in the financial services and Web related services niche. The geographic areas of operations include the US, West Asia, India etc. It has a wholly-owned subsidiary in the US and has offices in California, New Jersey and is planning to set up offices in the central part of the US in the near future.
An enterprise resource planning product, CG-VAK financials has been developed by the company. It targets trading houses and assembling establishments for this product. It is currently being used in 20 establishments in West Asia.
