Sparesindia to launch ASP service for SMEs

Mumbai : Delhi-based Sparesindia.com, a vertical B2B portal for auto spares will be launching their ASP service for automating back office functions for the SME segment by early next year. The site, which went online in October, will be launched in Mumbai, Pune and Chennai within the next three months. Mr Atul Aggarwal of sparesindia.com says, "this service is for our small scale members who cannot afford to invest in proprietory hardware and software. They will be charged a fixed fee for this service." The services they plan to provide are a complete range of ERP products that includes accounting, human resources, inventories and sales management. Mr Atul adds that this service will help their members automate their business processes.

Sparesindia is currently in the process of Web-enabling their existing distribution system and Customer Relationship Management. These services are already online. They will be Web-enabling their order processing systems and all the logistics information as well. They alsoplan to Web-enable the entire customer relationship process. Mr Atul added, "we assist our members in using technology to capitalise on e-commerce opportunities. This enables them to use our services to obtain new customers and offer better margins by eliminating members in the supply chain." As of now they are promoting the site through capsulised direct marketing efforts, that is direct contact with focused groups within the auto spares industry. The source of their revenue is a fixed fee from the manufacturers and/or sellers.
