The meeting will be part of the annual pre-budget consultations between the finance minister and various sections of the industry including economists, agriculturists, financial institutions and trade union leaders.

Reliance Industries vice-chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani, Confederation of Indian Industry president Rahul Bajaj, Bombay Dyeing Co Ltd chairman Nusli Wadia, RPG Enterprises vice chairman S Goenka and JK Organisation president Hari Shankar Singhania will attend the meeting.

India Cements CMD N Srinivasan, BPL Ltd chairman Rajeev Chandrasekhar, FICCI president GP Goenka, Assocham president Shekhar Bajaj, Videocon chairman VN Dhoot, SAIL chairman Arvind Pande and SCOPE chairman Udesh Kohli will also attend the meeting.

Others expected to attend the meeting include Aditya Birla group chairman Kumara Mangalam Birla, Infosys Technologies Ltd chairman and MD NR Narayanamurthy, Telco chairman Ratan Tata, SPIC Group vice-chairman AC Muthiah, Essar chairman Shashi Ruia, BHEL CMD KG Ramachandran, Piramal Enterprises CMD Ajay Piramal, Dr Reddy's Lab chairman K Anji Reddy and FIEO president Navratan Samdria.
