Tamil Nadu to offer assured return on private investment for road projects
Tamil Nadu government will take steps to encourage private entrepreneurs in road projects and to ensure the safe return of their investment and to provide durable road network in the state, health and electricity minister Arcot Veerasamy said on Wednesday.

Container Warehousing Corporation Limited (CWCL) is planning to repeat its Gurgaon project of an integrated rail and road terminal facility complete with internal container depot at the metro cities of Mumbai, Calcutta and Chennai.

PSA Tuticorin Container Terminal is all set to be operational on schedule in December, 1999. The traffic will begin with feeder vessels carrying 500 containers and shortly bigger vessels with over 2200 containers would be operating from the terminal.
