Internet is the leveraging agent for knowledge and the objective of knowledge management (KM) is to push the competition behind, according to planetasia.com chief executive officer Anand Sudarshan. Speaking at a seminar-cum-panel discussion on `Knowledge management: a competitive tool for the next millennium' in Bangalore on Monday, Sudarshan said in today's competitive world, what was essentially required for success was proper KM implementation and utilisation.

TekEdge to set up corporate intelligence centre

TekEdge Corporation, a supplier of professional and managed application services will set up a Corporate Intelligence Center (CIC) in India to enhance global customer support and e-business initiatives. With an initial strength of 100 people the facility is scheduled to be operational by January next year. According to company CEO Girish Gaitonde, over a period of eight months, the company would invest around $2 million to the centre.

HC clean chit to Shaktiman

The drama surrounding the airing of serial "Shaktiman" on Doordarshan came to an end on Wednesday with the High Court giving a clean chit to producers of the programme. The Court accepted the report of the three-member committee appointed by it to look into allegations that serial's content had instigated violent actions among children. Following the jugdgment, the producers of the serial have withdrawn their case against Doordarshan. The serial will now run its full course of 104 episodes.
