Developed by Braun Oral-B Dental Research, this electric toothbrush, claims the company, is clinically proven to significantly reduce plaque and tooth decay. Launched in two models - D9525, priced at Rs 2,995 and D7011, priced at Rs 1,995 -- the plaque remover can be used by the entire family, with each family member owning their own refill brush-heads. The individual refill brush-head with indicator power tips is available at Rs 145. The rechargeable battery, once fully charged, can be used for 30 minutes (approximately 15 brushings). Usha adds Splendour to range
Usha International Ltd has launched a new sewing machine called Splendour, adding to its existing range of international zig-zag supermodels from Janome of Japan. The machine, says the company, performs a diverse number of functionslike basic buttonholing to picot and hemming to innovative pattern-making. It also gives the user the convenience of free arm circular embroidery, saving the bother of opening up sleeves or salwars before embroidering them.
Bentley range of hankies
Bentley, a leading brand in the ties segment from Zorex Ties Mfg Co, has introduced cotton handkerchiefs in a set of three, priced at Rs 195 a set. Targeted at the top segment, the handkerchiefs are available at select premium stores. The company has also launched an economical range priced at Rs 85 and Rs 105.
Election updates
Delhi-based AirTel has introduced VoteTel, a service which will provide election updates to AirTel and Magic card customers who dial 928. The service is being made available round the clock and the news will be updated every half an hour. On dialing 928, the customer will hear a pre-recorded bulletin in English, the content of which would be provided by India Today Group Online.
