New Delhi, Oct 3: US-based networking company Euclid Network Solutions, promoted by a group of NRI-technocrats from the Silicon Valley, is on the look out for strategic partners to offer productised networking services in the country. Plans are also afoot to make India a hub to service the markets in the Asia-Pacific region by setting up a technical support centre.For the purpose, the company's Indian subsidiary Euclid India is in the process of setting up a Netcentre at Hyderabad to offer under one roof a Web-based call centre, high-end networking training centre and a software development centre for productised services. The centre is expected to be operational by March 2000.
Speaking to The Financial Express, Euclid Network Solutions president VP Shenoy said apart from making India a hub for software and solutions development, the company plans to use the Indian operations to target markets in the Asia-Pacific region. Apart from Asia, tapping the European market is high on the company'spriority list, he said.
Shenoy said Euclid is a solutions-based networking company and will offer producitised services for building and managing network platforms in the country. Strategic partners are expected to help the company tap the potential market for high-end networking solutions in India and Asia-Pacific, said officials.
The company is aggressively targeting the market for ISP networking products and services in the country. It recently bagged a Rs 1.2-crore network systems integration project from Rising Sun Infonet, an Ahemadabad-based ISP, officials said.
The company expects to earn a revenue of $4 million in 1999-2000. Sheynoy said the company may go for in for an initial public offer in the US by early 2001. As per the company's business plan, Euclid Network Solutions plans to reach the $67 million mark in sales by 2003, said Shenoy.
