Kochi pepper witnesses correction

Kochi, Oct 3: Ending a month-long volatile ride, black pepper prices on the Kochi market witnessed a technical correction during the week-ended Friday as traders desisted from taking fresh position following high prices in the market. The market was in the hands of sellers, but they quickly adjusted to the changed sentiments by cutting down their offering. Traders expect the price trend to remain same in the coming week as well."Enquiry from the overseas buyers was thin which forced the traders to desist from taking fresh position. The end of September shipment also saw prices to experience a technical correction," a Kochi-based trader said.With the forward contracts shrinking to only September futures the traders were worried that there was no price forecast available for the market, they added.
