Kochi, June 4: Indo-Biocare has entered into a strategic allaince with leading global animal health care products major Lohmann Animal Health of Germany and Quatchem of UK for distribution of their products in the country.Indo-Biocare chief executive officer Chandramohan said Lohman Animal Health, popularly known as the poultry specialist's specialist, is known for its innovative poultry vaccines and high performance poultry birds.Quotochem UK is a leading supplier of speciality chemicals and hospital disinfectants with operations in Africa, West Asia and Far East. The company hopes to have manufacturing a tie-up with the UK firm shortly.
Quatachem has a product range catering to animal health, human and agriculture sector.
Chandramohan said the company was also negotiating with a US firm for a strategic tie-up to market its products in the country.
Indo-Biocare with its marketing headquarters in Banglore hopes to have at least 2 per cent share of the Rs 650-crore animal health care product market inthe country, Chandramohan said.
The attempt is to develop an integrated rural marketing network throughout the country to deliver high quality products to the farmers in the country."We hope to get a 2 per cent market share in the first year of operations with a turnover of Rs 12 crore. The projected turnover in the first three years is Rs 60 crore and Rs 100 crore in the next decade," he added.According to Chandramohan, "Indo-Biocare's synergistic alliance with international business associates in various sectors coupled with its technical know-how will enable us to leverage our marketing expertise and strong customer interface.
This in turn will help us to build an unassailable position in the market".The strategy of the company is to emerge as the fastest growing veterinary pharmaceuticals firm.
The promoters of the company are professionals with long experience in the field. The company was the first in the pharmaceutical sector to introduce profit-sharing at the core management level,Chandramohan said. The company plans to enter into pest food, human herbal pharmaceutical sector.
