Ahmedabad, Oct 12: The Ahmedabad-based Fun`n' Water Park Ltd will set up an amusement park on a 200-acre plot in the outskirts of the city by the end of 1999. The company had entered into an agreement with the US-based Basic Service, a global consortia engaged in the amusement rides and entertainment business.According to company sources, Basic Service has bagged a Rs 40-crore order to set up an amusement park with a casino and ice skating rink near Kathmandu in Nepal.
The five-year-old company, established with an equity base of Rs 8.32 crore, posted sales of Rs 11.53 crore in the first half of the current fiscal, against sales of Rs 4.96 crore in the whole of 1997-98. Profit before stood at Rs 6.04 crore and profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 5.59 crore.
It has announced an interim dividend of 50 per cent for the current year and is also considering a bonus issue.
