Neelanchal Ispat project on schedule
Neelanchal Ispat Nigam (NINL), promoted by MMTC for producing 1.1 million tonnes of iron and steel, is progressing on schedule at Duburi in Orissa. The project is being set-up at a cost of Rs 1,510 crore with nearly Rs 600 crore as equity.
GKW posts profit with sale of investments
KK Bangur's GKW posted a gross profit of Rs 9.80 crore in 1997-98 with the help of other income of Rs 12.69 crore. Operationally, the company reported a net loss of Rs 25.29 crore for the year to March 31, 1998, against a net profit of Rs 5.07 crore in 1996-97.
British Airways keen to spread wings in India
British Airways is thinking big on India and is keen on doubling capacity, increasing frequency and introducing more destinations. The company plans to serve more routes and operate small aircraft on those with low capacity requirement.
