BANGALORE, Sept 2: The Department of Electronics (DoE) will place the final draft of cyber laws before the Standing Committee on Information Technology appointed by the Union government for its approval. This was announced in Bangalore on Wednesday by DoE secretary Ravindra Gupta, who was participating in the inaugural session of the three-day international conference of the electronic industry, a part of ``Nepcon India '98''.

The government will also set up a second labour commission added Gupta and asked the chambers to come forward with their suggestions.

Gupta also asked the information technology industry not to fully depend on the second report of the task force on hardware. ``The IT sector should undergo an ideological change. It should develop a global thinking, to compete in the international market,'' he added.

He further added that the government was also working out the modalities of venture capital for the industry. The government will soon convene a meeting in this regard especially tosort out problems related to company law, income tax law and other areas. An amendment to the existing laws would also be made soon to approve electronic signatures for ``E-Commerce'' operations, he said.
