President releases commemorative stamp on Godrej completing 100 years
A commemorative stamp issued by the department of posts on the occasion of the completion of 100 years of the nation's leading industrial group, the Godrej, was released at a special function by president KR Narayanan at Raj Bhavan yesterday. The postage stamp, available in the denomination of Rs 3, features the two pioneers of the group, Ardeshir Godrej (1868-1936) who started manufacturing locks in 1897 and his brother Pirojsha Godrej (1882-1972).
