Yuvraj Singh Wedding Photos: The much-awaited big fat Indian cricket wedding is underway and the internet is flooded with gorgeous photographs of cricketer Yuvraj Singh and model-turned-actor Hazel Keech. Spread over several days and various destinations, the wedding is touted to be the biggest celebrity marriage of 2016. After the traditional Sikh ‘Anand Karaj’ ceremony, the couple went ahead to get the blessings of Dera head Baba Ram Singh Ganduan Wale in a village near Srihind-Chandigarh Road.
The couple kept it a low-key affair with only some close friends and relatives in attendance and tied the knot at a Gurudwara chosen by Yuvraj’s mother Shabnam Singh. The wedding celebrations are continuing into the night. The couple also are set to go through a Hindu ritual marriage ceremony in Goa on December 2 and a reception has been organised in the Capital city on December 7.
The interest in Yuvraj Singh’s wedding has been at a high since the rumours first arose, but it really skyrocketed when the ace cricketer was spotted outside the Parliament with a wedding card for none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
As per reports, the newlyweds wore colour coordinated maroon-and-golden outfits. The blushing bride wore a deep red lehenga with intricate golden embroidery and pink sleeves. Yuvi was a particularly handsome dulha in a velvet sherwani, which he paired with a maroon padgi and jooti.
Yuvraj earlier shared a picture on social networking platform Instagram, in which he looked quite dazed in his wedding outfit. But if you thought the groom was having last-minute wedding jitters, rest easy. He captioned the photo, “It’s time!” So clearly, he was more excited about the event than probably all his fans combined.
However, Yuvraj’s father former cricketer-actor Yograj Singh was not present at the ceremony of his son in the dera today. It has already been reported that Yograj will not attend the wedding as he was against the marriage being conducted by a Dera leader.
The reception ceremony is sure to be a glamorous event with guests like PM Narandra Modi and the Indian and English cricketing fraternity in attendance, aside from Yuvraj and Hazel’s family and friends. Whether the England team will be able to make it, however, remains to be seen, as they are taking a short break in Dubai following their loss.
