Telugu actor Pawan Kalyan-starrer Katamarayudu opened to overwhelming response across the world especially in South India after its release last Friday on March 24. Pawan Kalyan – like many other south superstars Mahesh Babu, NTR and Prabhas – has an enormous fan following. The craze for Pawan is so huge that people get infuriated when somebody says something wrong about the actor. In the current instance, a not-so-flattering Katamarayudu review created a ruckus on a local TV show today when fans went on a rampage. The anchor had given a bad review about the film and Pawan’s fans who were participating in a live discussion organized by Mana TV got infuriated – the anchor offered a rating of 3 on a scale of 5. The angered fans climbed the stage and started beating the anchor as soon as the show ended.
Not only that, they also vandalised a TV set there and started throwing chairs and a table around. The annoyed fans also trashed water bottles and other props on the stage. The whole incident was captured on the camera and the video clip went viral on the internet.
Worse things have happened where fans are concerned! In an earlier incident, a fight between fans of two superstars resulted in the death of one. Vinod Kumar, a hardcore fan of Pawan Kalyan had a discussion with a Jr NTR fan about their favorite heroes. Both started saying that their hero is the best, but soon the discussion turned into a quarrel and the fallout was that Kalyan’s fan lay dead. They rushed him to the hospital but doctors declared him brought dead.
