The upcoming season of singing competition series “The Voice UK” will be the show’s last instalment on TV network BBC.
The show has been “poached by another broadcaster,” according to BBC, reported Deadline.
It is being said, BBC has been under pressure to trim its costs. Season five of “The Voice UK” begins in January.
“The BBC is incredibly proud of The Voice but we always said we wouldn’t get into a bidding war or pay inflated prices to keep the show, and it’s testament to how the BBC has built the programme up u2013 and established it into a mainstay of the Saturday night schedule u2013 that another broadcaster has poached it.”
It is widely rumored that ITV is the broadcaster in question, but the network has not responded to the report.
