With this kind of outstanding traffic in theatres, Sultan collection prediction turns easier. While we have discussed the type of content and the quality of movie threadbare, giving each aspect positive marks, from here on with the weekend fast approaching, the earnings are expected to again head north as all those who missed out or want a second shot at watching the movie will line up at the turnstiles.
An aspect that is keeping the movie in the news is that the controversy surrounding the Salman Khan ‘raped woman’ remark is refusing to die and the actor himself is not helping matters any. Today, he again defied the summons from the Maharashtra women’s panel and refused to make a personal appearance before it. Instead, he sent a letter and in it he did not apologise – something that the panel was very keen on him to do as his comment ‘insults women’. This action from Salman elicited a strong reply from his Sultan co-star Anushka Sharma, who according to Times Now, called him ‘insensitive’. This row is not going to come to an end any time soon.
Take the poll, tell us what you think:
As the focus of Sultan collection shifts to the weekend, more earnings records are likely to be threatened and some are likely to fall. Already, Salman Khan has beaten a number of records of other top actors from Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar, but much more is expected from Sultan. If it does not manage to live up to the hype generated, not only will the industry itself suffer, fans themselves will be disappointed as they have invested emotionally in the movie to a great extent.
