Shah Rukh Khan, the King Khan of Bollywood, who is an avid user of social media, crossed a fan following milestone of 28 million on the microblogging website Twitter on Thursday. The 51-year-old actor, however, still trails behind Amitabh Bachchan who earlier this month had crossed 29 million followers. But the Bollywood’s ‘Baadshah’ is still far ahead of Salman Khan who has 25.6 million followers while Aamir Khan has 21.9 million followers on Twitter. Shah Rukh has is ahead of Akshay Kumar who has 20.2 million followers on the social media platform.
The Bollywood star who began his career on the small screen, appeared in several television series in the late 1980s. He made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with Deewana, as per the report by IANS. Shah Rukh is best known for his work in a series of romantic films, that includes “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge”, “Mohabbatein”, “Dil To Pagal Hai” and “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.” He was also seen portraying negative roles in films like Darr, Baazigar and Anjaam. However, recently his films failed to perform well on box office. “Raees” and “Jab Harry Met Sejal” did not have a very successful collection. He is currently busy with filmmaker Aanand L Rai’s yet untitled movie, which features the actor as a dwarf.
The actor also hosted TV shows like, “Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain” and the third season of “Kaun Banega Crorepati”, which has otherwise been hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. Shah Rukh will now be seen in his TV show, Ted Talks — India which is an Indian version of the international show. The show was to launch in October during Diwali, but now it has been pushed ahead, reported DNA. The show which is to be hosted by the actor will go on air either in mid-November or even December.
