Befikre already gave us the most obvious reason to love it and that was being able to see Ranveer Singh back in action. The other reason it has gotten audiences excited is its catchy songs. The film’s soundtrack has been quite promising so far with numbers like Nashe Si Chadh Gayi and Ude Dil Befikre. Its latest musical offering Khulke Dulke, however, isn’t exactly what we were hoping for from the film’s third track.

Khulke Dulke is a good old Punjabi number, which is a trademark of any Aditya Chopra film, but the song doesn’t do justice to the genre or the film’s leads Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor. The music video is filled with a million colours and has everything from our leads in traditional Indian clothes, to Brazilian dancers – all dancing in front of the White House. Ranveer’s energy is contagious as always in the various shots where he’s twirling Vaani around, playing the trumpet or even just hanging out in a park. But the song isn’t a good enough score to the Bajirao Mastaani actor’s zeal and leaves us waiting for the next Befikre song to be released.

According to a report in DNA, Khulke Dulke, which was penned by Jaideep Sahni, was released on Wednesday morning. Ranveer took to Twitter to share the news of its release, writing, “Did you really think, an Aditya Chopra film wouldn’t have a full on Punjabi gaana? #KhulkeDulke.” The song was composed by Vishal-Shekhar and performed by Gippy Grewal.
