Rajnikant suffers a mild injury while shooting for his upcoming 2.0

Superstar Rajnikanth, while shooting for his upcoming movie 2.0, has suffered a minor leg injury during a stunt sequence. He was then immediately taken to the hospital for further checkups and has resumed work on the project. The much anticipated movie 2.0, which is scheduled to be released next year, is a sequel to the sci-fi, Enthiran

As per a report by ET, the police confirmed that the 65-year-old actor had a fall while shooting a scene at Kelambakkam on East Coast Road around 8 pm. Today. He was taken to a private hospital nearby.

Recently, the Rajnikant starrer movie had a grand first look launch in Mumbai that picked up the curiosity quotient among fans. The poster also revealed that bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, in an eccentric ‘crow’ makeover, will play the lead baddie role in the move. Directed by Shankar, the film also stars actors like Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain in the leading roles. The film will release in 6 -Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, English, Japanese and Chinese.

Although it is touted to be a sequel of 2010 blockbuster Enthiran, 2.0 will not be a continuation of the first part. The makers has on boarded an entirely different cast. With a total budget of Rs 120 crore, Enthiran was produced by Sun Pictures Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who had played the female lead in the movie.
