Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Monday threatened Bollywood directors Karan Johar and Mahesh Bhatt to refrain from releasing films Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (which features Fawad Khan in a cameo) and Raees (which marks the Bollywood debut of Mahira Khan).
MNS leader Amey Khopkar said, “We have not got any confirmation from either of the director, but we are firm on our stand against the Pakistani actors. If any of these films are released then we will protest, even if our party workers have to face imprisonment for this.”

Raj Thackeray’s party had been at the forefront of the anti-Pakistani artiste movement, going so far as to issue a 48-hour deadline to them to leave Indian soil, and staging protests outside Karan Johar’s office, asking for Fawad Khan’s parts to be deleted from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
