Priyanka Chopra, who is currently in Germany’s capital Berlin to promote her Hollywood debut ‘Baywatch’ along with stars like Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron, has taken down her selfies from her day out in the town after being attacked and made fun of on Twitter. Two different sets of people were offended by the ‘desi girl’s’ social media posts. While one set taunted her for wearing a dress that showed her legs when she met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Berlin, the other set attacked her for posting selfies that features Priyanka Chopra along with her brother Siddharth Chopra at the Holocaust Memorial in the capital. Along with the selfie, she wrote, “Holocaust Memorial #Berlin” and “sidharthchopra89 and I being tourists. There is such an eerie silence here.” While the selfies have now been taken down by the actress, she couldn’t escape the trolls.
Opened in 2005, the Holocaust Memorial is a tribute to the 6 million Jews who were killed and buried in mass graves during Hitler’s regime in the 20th century. The memorial has 2,711 stone slabs that resemble coffins. It is officially known as the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. Being attached to such a tragic incident, Priyanka Chopra’s selfies from the place touched the sentiments of a lot of people.
Not just for her selfies, the actress was also trolled for her dress that she was wearing while meeting PM Narendra Modi, who was on a four-nation visit in Berlin. Priyanka posted a picture of her along with the PM and wrote, “Was such a lovely coincidence to be in #berlin???????? at the same time as the Prime Minister. Thank you @narendramodi Sir for taking the time from your packed schedule to meet me this morning.” A lot of people on social media gave her the “sanskaari” lecture. The 34-year-old actress gave a befitting reply to her attackers. Without saying or writing anything directly, Priyanka posted another picture, this time featuring her mother also and showing some more legs. She captioned the picture as, “legs for days.”
