PadMan is based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, famous for his path-breaking innovation. Muruganantham brought in a revolution in villages by innovating an economically viable sanitary pad so that women, irrespective of their background can use it with ease. Inspired by the tale of this underdog, Twinkle Khanna chose to bring his story to the silver screen.
