Mubarakan box office collections predictions: This week, the Bollywood industry is set to have two of its major films released, one of which is a controversial film and the other is a high-budget comedy. Recently, Bollywood has faced a number of below-par releases which have not hit double digits at the box office on their opening day. Be it Raabta, Jagga Jasoos or Mom, all have failed to enthuse the public and the same can be seen reflected in their box office collections. The last big opening Bollywood has seen was the Salman Khan release Tubelight and that too did not manage to do as well as was expected. The really big releases we saw this year were Raees, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Hindi Medium. The expectations are now high for Anees Bazmee’s Mubarakan featuring Anil Kapoor with nephew, Arjun Kapoor.
Starring two actors who are connected by blood, the ‘family flick’ Mubarakan is set to release on Friday, July 28. Arjun Kapoor, who has a dual role in the film, has given Bollywood some very big movies in the past which include Gunday and Ishaqzaade which has earned him a stable fan base. The expectations from Mubarakan are pretty high as this film is expected to generate box office opening of under Rs 10 cr. The movie should make an opening between Rs 8-9 crore as per expectations and can easily reach the double-digit bar on the following days of the opening weekend provided word of mouth is strong enough and it gains critical acclaim. Anees Bazmee has worked with Anil Kapoor in several of his films which he has either written or directed.

The Anees-Anil duo was visible in movies like Welcome, No Entry and No Problem, all which have done fairly well at the box office. This is what sets the upcoming movie Mubarakan a notch higher in the audience’s expectations.
