Kangana Ranaut – The Self-Made Queen Fights Bollywood Parivars

Politics 'in disguise'. Our beloved Bollywood is definitely an industry of family business. Politics ‘in disguise’. Our beloved Bollywood is definitely an industry of family business. The great Indian Parivar is not limited to politicians – The Nehru Gandhi Parivar or the Yadav Parivar ( Lalu and Mulayam ) In Bollywood we have the Kapoor’s, the Khan’s the Roshan’s, the Bhatt’s and the Johar’. They own everything. A very genuine career option for all the star kids, Bollywood is their ‘home sweet home’.

However, there are some who have made it to the top with their super talent and gallons of luck. One such raw star, our very own Kangana Ranaut is one of those talented souls. Without any filmy background to brag about or godfather, Kangana has taken few years and fewer films to match up to and rise a level far above the other ‘star-kids’. Being an ‘out sider’ as they call her, Kangana had her own struggle stories rather battles in the industry.

Without any God-Father or the Khan films in her kitty, Kangana is one of the highest paid actresses of the B-town. She has been hitting headlines since she stepped into the industry. From her looks to her English to her link ups and her opinions , everything about her has been in news. Hot News. Being a loner and the ‘Queen’ of course she has her lovers and haters all around.

In this industry dominated by the Khans, Kapoors, Chopras and Roshans, anybody not associated with them in anyway has obviously a tough way to go. Things turn out to be a nightmare when you get into a battle with anyone of them. Did Kangana fell prey to this conspiracy? Kangana loyalists will support this statement in any way while her haters would strongly disagree.

However Karan Johar asking Kangna to leave Bollywood shows the bitter truth of Bollowood biggies ganging up against the un-disputable Queen. Karan who is known to go all gooey in the presence of the Khan’s, the Roshan’s and the Bhatt’s in a typical ‘you pat my back and I pat your back style’ went all out against Kangna, a week after she snubbed him in his own show.

Twitter is full of comments against her, calling her a ‘bitch’, ‘whore’, ‘mad woman’ and what not! Why so? Because she stood up against the Bollywood biggies or because she speaks her mind that has many a times rubbed the big ones wrongly? She has the spunk to take on the Roshan’s, the Johar’s and suggest that she does not need a Khan to make a movie a super hit. As a matter of fact her not working with the Khans is another thing that has raised many eye brows.

This Queen is always seen at her candid best . Has the well earned hard fought stardom brought about her this raspy attitude or is it because of the constant bullying that she has suffered in the industry?

The other Bollywood actresses like Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone have done woman centric films like ‘Mary Kom’ and ‘Piku’ respectively. But they have been more than happy to also been a part of Khan films like ‘Don 2’ and ‘Happy New Year’. Kangana says that she does not need any backing of such big budget movies and will always love to do films that revolves around her character. Walking off beat, Kangana is all set to rise like a meteor in the film industry that reeks of nepotism and Bhai Bhatija Vaad . Lets wait and watch if this lioness from Himachal will be snubbed once again for just being herself and her stardom will be soon done and dusted…or she will always remain a notch above the others and one who does not need a crutch to stay aloft. We hope she keeps rocking the tinsel town with her bad ass attitude and super hit blockbusters and the world is left with with no option but to deal with it!

Nepotism, according to Merriam-Webster means "the practice among those with power or influence of favoring relatives or friends" ergo hiring your family friends and their children does equate to nepotism. You are referring to the original latin meaning of the word coming from Catholic Church officials selecting their nephews et al to replace them, which anyone can find on google within a few seconds, so I'm sure Kangana can do so as well, so no need for you to scathingly applaud her knowing a few words of English. It is really sad that you had to taint, in your typical fashion, an academic insution like LSE with your gossip and schadenfreude regarding her village/non-English fluent roots. Furthermore you talk about nepotism in a lighthearted fashion at the bastion of your former colonizer's glory days. How many potentially slanderous things have you said about people that weren't even vaguely true, while Ms. Ranaut only alleges the truth? On your talk show, you only ask intruding personal questions and make sly jibes at people whom you don't favor. Really only Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan? Do you forget all of the Kapoors, aside from an actually talented Mr. Aditya Roy Kapur who does the best he can with what ss are handed to him?You have LaCroix and Louboutin to rest your laurels upon: how many of your fellow countrymen can say the same? And you lecture them on nepotism, when heredity has handed you many fortunes to be thankful for. Where would you be without your khan daans? Don't be so daft to bite the hand that feeds. Tisk, tisk. Nepotism will only win so far. The jury of public opinion is speaking and clearly, the Indian people don't like who the film industry chooses for them to idol-worship. Keeping remaking old songs from Bollywood's glory days I suppose until you actually have some fresh ideas outside of your refreshed gimlets.

I wis that more actressess cold voice their true and meaning ful opinion. There a few who really have an objective opinion like Ranaut. Her statements are always backed with good examples and arguments. The other actors are only trying to cash in their own pority using Ranauts comments and trying to defame her for their own personal interest. But hè, show us that you too can have 1 national waard on your own talent and capability.KJO or anyone with money can have a lot of slimeys around them. And apart from kangana and a few others celebs, the w industry is a big slime Ball. Everyone is friends with everyone. Duhhh... can't nobody apart from Ranaut do the reality check???Yeah, good strategy: use a woman to safe the stupid koffeeshow and later use her statement to stay in spotlight. He is absolute not going yo be a good father for her new brons.

I salute Kangana Ranaut for fearlessly expressing what she is. One needs lots of guts to do that. The typical ‘you pat my back and I pat your back style’ is nothing but a modified "Page3" kind of relationship.

Excellent article..She was right about nepotism. He should have responded to her on the show rather than complain later. She did not use any victim or woman card. Karan uses the victim card more often than her!!
