Anushka Sharma and Shahrukh Khan fell victim yesterday to that terrible feeling you get when everyone else knows what’s happening in your life except, of course, you. It all began when Shahrukh’s Dear Zindagi co-star Alia Bhatt shared SRK and Anushka Sharma’s upcoming movie’s first look on Twitter yesterday at 7 pm, writing, “August is too far away ya! @AnushkaSharma @iamsrk. Am saving the date immediately. But Imtiaz what to put in as the title? #CantWait.” Salman Khan seemed to be hand in glove as well, sharing the first look a few hours after Alia. He captioned it, [email protected] ki film aa Rahi hai. Date Maine decide kar di hai. Title tum log decide kardo. Best of luck @AnushkaSharma #ImtiazAli.”
The two stars who were, apparently, clueless about the first look were, in fact, Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. We’re guessing after seeing a Twitter frenzy over the first look, Anushka finally responded in mock anger, writing, “What’s this @iamsrk?? Our release date’s decided!?!” A seemingly hapless King Khan, who’s busy promoting Dear Zindagi, wrote back in confusion, Arre I had no idea we are still searching for the title. What to do now??? Go with this date or wot??” Whether a genuine misunderstand or a well-crafted PR stunt, the hilarious exchange between the four stars did manage to get a lot of buzz going around the untitled film’s new poster. It shows the leads on what appears to be a postcard with a Portugese stamp and bears the words, ‘What You Seeking Is Seeking You.’
As of now, the film has no title, but there are a few contenders willing to name the project. Karan Johar wrote, “Bhai!!!! Am telling you… go with my title suggestion or then @aliaa08 ‘s… you decide!” and Alia wrote back, “Guys my title is the best, I’m telling you. Whoever wins get a prize!!!! What say?” What they’ve suggested, we don’t know, but who do you think will win out in the end in naming the upcoming film? The project, directed by Imtiaz Ali and under SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment banner, is set to be released next year in August.
