Amid demonetisation woes, John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Force 2 has started on a positive note. The theatres saw a 15-20% occupancy on its opening day. With that, the movie is expected to collect Rs 5 crores on the first day. The occupancy may be low, but the movie is getting positive reviews from the audience. The positive word of mouth can help the film get a decent weekend collection. Both Sonakshi and John are seen doing some high-flying action moves. Earlier, in a media conversation, John Abraham had said demonetisation may not affect the movie as unlike Rock On 2, Force 2 has a larger mass appeal.
The actor had said that the movie will help audience release their stress after the demonetisation struggle. Distributor Akshaye Rathi also seems to be hopeful. “The #DeMonetisation impact on movies is a failed theory suddenly! Watch the collections of #Force2 & you’ll know what I mean!,” Akshaye Rathi shared on Twitter . Directed by Abhinay Deo, Force 2 is an action thriller. The film also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin. John is playing ACP Yashvardhan and Sonakshi Sinha will be seen as a RAW agent. Last week’s release Rock On 2 has to bear the brunt of demonetisation as a lot of audience who were expected to reach theaters decided otherwise. Rock On 2 was is the sequel to 2008 movie Rock On, while Force 2 is sequel 2 2011 movie Force.
