Popular drama series of 1970s, “Fantasy Island” is all set to get a reboot with a feminine twist.
The show that ran from 1977 to 1984 had previously got a reboot made in 1998, but the latest project for which ABC is teaming up with Sony Pictures Television will see a female lead replacing ‘Mr Roarke’, played by Ricardo Montalban, reported Aceshowbiz.
“Up in the Air” scribe, Sheldon Turner, will pen the script and executive produce the series with Jennifer Klein.
The new version will revolve around a company named Fantasy Island that helps its client’s fulfil their darkest fantasies.
The female lead in the project is described as brilliant, dynamic and sexy.
