Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan always makes it a point to voice his opinion on most political happenings in the country especially if they hit headlines and stay there for days, unlike most of his contemporaries. Therefore, it was not a surprise when the superstar today expressed his opinion, again, on PM Narendra Modi’s demonetisation policy something that has been troubling the country for over a month now. Aamir Khan on Sunday gave a statement that was very much approving of PM Modi’s policy. While speaking to the media during a promo for his upcoming film “Dangal” he said it’s something that we should support.
Aamir said that this move is for the betterment of the country. Talking about the hardships common people have to face because of this policy, he said that “there may be some difficulties along the way but…I think we should look at the long run,”. Aamir Khan had praised the move earlier as well, he had called it a good move by the government to curb the black money and had endorsed it. In a scenario where demonetisation’s impact can be felt in almost all the sectors, and the after effects of the policy can be clearly seen in the box office, Aamir Khan’s statement on demonetisation may surprise the producers.
