Dangal collections in China: Aamir Khan starrer set to hit ‘unimaginable’ Rs 500 cr mark

Dangal collections in China: With all of Bollywood, Tollywood and movie buffs across India talking about the phenomenal success of ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’, there is Aamir Khan-starrer Dangal which is moving gradually near to the Rs 500 crore club in overseas market. Dangal released in China on May 5 and since then the movie has garnered a whopping response. It has been two-weeks now and the wrestling drama’s earnings are still rising. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie has bagged incredible response even in the second week. Taking to Twitter, he shared the latest collections of the movie in China. He tweeted: “#Dangal has an INCREDIBLE second Monday in China… Refuses to slow down… All set for ₹ 500 cr… UNIMAGINABLE biz…” However, to put things in perspective, there is still a long way for it to go to reach that magical mark and it may well not make it there. Taran Adarsh further shared the break-up data of Dangal’s second week collection in China and wrote, “#Dangal – CHINA – Week 2 [updated] Fri: $ 6.40 mn Sat: $ 13.97 mn Sun: $ 12.72 mn Mon: $ 4.86 mn 11-day total: $ 65.13 million [Rs, 417.48 cr].”

As per an Indian Express report, the movie has successfully minted Rs 29.16 million (Rs 187.57 cr) in the first week of its launch in China. Though the movie was released in India and other overseas soils much earlier, in China people are still bestowing immense love and appreciation on this sport flick. The report also hints that Dangal will be the first ever Indian film that will have its domestic collection overhauled by a single foreign market.

In India, the lifetime collection of Dangal stands as high as Rs 387.38 crore. Nitesh Tiwari directed movie earned Rs 208.84 crore during the second weekend here. With Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Sakshi Tanwar and Aparshakti Khurana in the lead roles, the movie has surpassed the Rs 1,000 mark recently.
