Dangal collection: Aamir Khan starrer’s collections in China has thrilled the filmmakers. It has a reason for having done so. Khan’s movie shattered many records as it has registered total earnings of Rs 1,089 crore at the Chinese box office, koimoi.com reported. The film’s global collection now stands at a massive Rs 1,869.84 crore and is heading towards the Rs 1,900 crore mark! The total collection of the film in the Taiwanese market has risen to Rs 36.50 crore, which takes its overseas collections to Rs 1,327.50 crore.

Aamir Khan, overwhelmed with the outpouring of emotion of people on public platforms and in the media for the film, told koimoi.com that it left a deep impact on society and that it showed the public about how a girl child should be treated. He also said that the film had a big impact on the wrestling world as well, as the kind of interest people have taken in wrestling after the film is significant.

The film was directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and UTV Motion pictures. It is a biographical sports drama, an inspiring story of the Phogat sisters, raised to be wrestling champions by their father. It featured Fatima Sana Sheikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar in key roles. The film had a heartwarming response from the Indian audiences who turned up in huge numbers at cinema halls. The film with the opening collection itself, surpassed the previous Indian film record in China which was held by ‘PK’ and it went on becoming a big hit across the globe, thus making history by becoming the first highest-earning non-Hollywood film in the country.
