2016 has not really been high on action films, and with the confidence Ajay has displayed in his ambitious project, box office collections are expected to be sunny. Going by the theatrical promos, a 100-mark can easily be forecasted and to those, tired of KJo’s love sagas, this can be their pick.

From the first teaser that focused on the super-natural element to moving the limelight on father-daughter relationship, the film has targeted both single and multiplex screen audiences.

Only three action flicks, Baaghi (Rs 11.94 crore), Ghayal Once Again (Rs 7.2 crore) and Dishoom (Rs 11.05 crore) managed to make some mark however expectations are higher with Shivaay.

But the film will face a tough battle from Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. ADHM might have been in news over its flaky release but with its star value and trier-n-tested genre, it’s sure to bring audiences to the screens. Though the final numbers will only reveal that who makes the cut.
