Baahubali 2: The Conclusion: After hitting the screens on April 28, SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 is trashing all previous records one by at box office. From becoming the first movie to cross Rs 100 crore in a day to earning the highest opening weekend collection, the film has become the highest-grossing film ever in the history of Indian cinema. While all eyes are on the huge business of the film it is assumed that at least the superstars would all have had a comfortable if not wealthy early life. In this case we are about to reveal, that has not been the case. We are talking about superstar Prabhas. There was a time in his life when Prabhas was worried about earning money, reported The Indian Express. The actor who has essayed the role of Baahubali in both the instalments of SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus, had empty pockets once. This was revealed by none other than Rajamouli himself. In an interview, the director who created history with this film bared his heart about the kind of person Prabhas is.
Rajamouli said “Prabhas had three consecutive hits and producers kept running after him with money but he only focused on Baahubali.” But Prabhas had not received his due payment for Baahubali and having not signed up any other work for 5 years, he was almost without any money! It was his single-minded focus on the movie, that he “instructed his manager not to demand anything from producers and take anything they give.” The director said, “there was a time when he (Prabhas) was stressed for money”. However, even at that point of time, he did not accept the offers of other producers knocking at his door. Prabhas even had the offer to do an advertisement worth Rs 10 crore, but he refused that offer as well, he said. As per the excerpts of the interview, Producers had flooded his house with offers, cash and cheques and sometimes even without asking anything in return. On this, Prabhas got scared, called Rajamouli and asked him what should he do. When the director told him to get an affidavit with a statement that this money does not have anything to do with his work.
