It was not Diwali or Eid but theatres on Friday witnessed massive crowd waiting to watch the much-awaited film of 2017 – Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Released in 2015, the part 1 of the film created anxiety among the people that dragged them to the theatres on the release day of its sequel. While the audience was busy in finding the answer to the question ‘why did Katappa kill Baahubali?’, trade analysts kept a keen eye on its business. According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, the film featuring Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Rana Daggubati starrer flick is expected to have touched a record gross earning of Rs 145 crores in India alone, while its overseas gross would be more than Rs 65 crores. The film is releasing on almost 2,500 screens outside India. In his series of tweets, Bala revealed the box office collection of the film is expected to have reached up to Rs 58 crore in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, while it would be Rs 19.5 crore in Karnataka, Rs 11 crore in Tamil Nadu, Rs 5.5 crore, said Bala as quoted by the Indian Express.
