Since its release on April 27, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has broken all kinds of Box Office records (according to trade analyst Ramesh Bala – a whopping Rs 710 cr overall at worldwide BO with India take being pegged at Rs 565 cr gross and Rs 145 cr overseas). Among various factors for the success of the movie which has been released in some 9000 theatres across the globe, are its director as well as the star cast. Lead actor Prabhas, who was also part of Baahubali: The Beginning has earned around Rs 25 crore for doing the movie, while lead actress Anushka Shetty got Rs 5 crore. Film’s super villain Rana Daggubati received Rs 15 crore for doing the movie. The inextlive.jagran.com report further said that another actor Sathyaraj, who played the role of Katappa, and made people wonder, why the character played by him killed Baahubali for more than two years before the release of Baahubali 2 got Rs 2 crore for the movie.
Actresses Tamannaah Bhatia and Ramya Krishna, both of whom were seen in both parts earned Rs 5 crore and Rs 2.5 crore each, the report further said. While Tamannah had played the role of Avantika in the movie, Ramya played the role of Sivagami Devi, the report added.
The movie has already taken Indian cinema by storm. Even as movie lovers have been left awestruck by SS Rajamouli’s world of fantasy, the box-office pundits are also taken aback after looking at the money the film has garnered.
Aside from money, praise too is pouring in from all quarters for the film. After watching the movie, Rajinikanth had a word of praise for it. “Baahubali 2 … indian cinema’s pride. My salutes to God’s own child @ssrajamouli and his team!!! #masterpiece,” he wrote on Twitter.
From becoming the first film to cross Rs 100 crore in a day to earning the highest first weekend collection, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has become the highest-grossing film ever made in Indian cinema.
