Set to release on April 28, 2017, Baahubali 2 is making records much prior to its release. In a matter of just 24 hours, the trailer of the historical friction became the 7th most viewed video in the whole world and is also the most viewed Indian trailer ever on Youtube. Directed by SS Rajamouli, the part 1 of the film Baahubali: The Beginning that was released in 2015 created suspense among the audience and gave them a question to think about, ‘Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?’ The answer to this question will soon be revealed.
The team of Baahubali took to twitter to share the news, the wrote, “#Baahubali 2 Trailer is world’s 13th most viewed online video in first 24 hours. Thank you everyone :)” and in a second post, they wrote, “And at 7th position in most viewed youtube videos in first 24hours, worldwide. Thank you :).”

Director Karan Johar, who has bought the North Indian distribution rights of the Hindi version of ‘Baahubali 2’, took to twitter through the twitter handle of Dharma production to express his happiness and wrote- “Raking in all the love! #Baahubali2trailer becomes India’s most liked trailer on #Youtube! @karanjohar @ssrajamouli ”
Earlier in the Baahubali team took to twitter to reveal that the trailer of the movie has reached 85 million views online in just96 hours. The tweet read- “#BB2Storm is UNSTOPPABLE…. More than 85 million views online, in 96 hours! Thank you all for the response to the #Baahubali2trailer!”
The film features Tollywood actor Prabhas in the lead role along with Rana Duggabati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah and Ramya Krishnan in supporting roles. Rangaraj Subbaiah who is known by his stage name Sathyaraj plays the character of Kattappa in the film.
Baahubali was the highest grossing Indian film in the country and also the third highest grossing Indian film globally. The film collected over Rs 750 million (US$11 million) worldwide after the first day of its release, only time will tell whether Baahubali 2 will break this Box Office Collection record or not.
