The trailer of Aksar 2 released on Monday afternoon and it has everyone talking about it. A sequel to Emraan Hashmi, Dino Morea starrer, this installment stars Zareen Khan, Abhinav Shukla and Gautam Rode in lead roles. The trailer was full of sensual scenes and Zareen Khan took all the limelight. But, there is one man who is giving Zareen a run for her money. Indian fast bowler S Sreesanth is set to make his Bollywood debut with Aksar 2. This came as a surprise to many as the news was kept secret and became public only after the Kerala born cricketer made a couple of appearances in the trailer.
Sreesanth is excited about his Bollywood debut. The cricketer-turned-actor said he has moved on from the spot-fixing incident. “About the match fixing saga you should ask the BCCI and not me. I am excited about Aksar 2 and I am looking forward to see how people react to Sreesanth the actor and not the cricketer,” he told reporters at the trailer launch of the film, as per NDTV. In this film, Sreesanth can be seen in a moustache, almost making him unrecognisable.
This isn’t the first time when he will be trying a hand in acting. He has previously acted in a movie in the south and is open to doing more films in Bollywood if he is offered good scripts. “I did a south film and this film is a great opportunity for me. In future, if I get good work I will take it up. I am happy to be back after four years with cricket, my first match is on October 6 and that’s when the film is releasing,” he said.
Directed by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, the film is set to release on October 6. “I always wanted to be a cricketer and we are fortunate to be having S Sreesanth for this film. He will be a surprise. We all are lucky to have him for the film,” Mahadevan said at the trailer launch.
