He’s a powerhouse in Bollywood and known for his experimental styles on screen, but it looks like Aamir Khan forgot to give his airport outfit a once-over as he landed in Mumbai on Monday. In fact, had the star not been surrounded by his posse, it would’ve been difficult for anyone to tell that he was the Aamir we all know and love. After spending the weekend at wrestler Geeta Phogat’s wedding in the village of Balali in Haryana along with his Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari and co-star Sakshi Tanwar, the actor was seen at Mumbai Airport donning a quirky bandana, thick-rimmed glasses, a faded blue shirt and track pants.

While the actor is no stranger to giving it his all for his roles (remember his transformation from Sanjay in Ghajini to 3 Idiots’ Rancho?) But it looks like off-screen, the star seems to have stopped caring about what he wears. And while most of us reach out for our pair of comfy sweatpants or jeans when choosing our travel wardrobe, let’s not forget the female celebrities’ travel fashion is scrutinized from head to toe.

Aamir was accompanied at the airport by Delhi girl Sanya Malhotra, who plays his onscreen daughter Babita, according to a report by News18.com. The 50-year-old star will be seen in the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat and while it’s amazing that he was able to put on 30 kilos (and then later shed it off) to look the part of the wrestler, why he couldn’t put in half as much effort in his travel look will probably remain a mystery. Still, does it beat his Charlie-Chaplin-eque look during his 2013 trip to Assam where he wore a derby hat and a orange-and-white striped scarf? You be the judge.
