It’s been 10 years since the famous red shoes worn by Judy Garland in ‘The Wizard of Oz’ were stolen, but now an anonymous do-gooder is trying to bring them back by offering one million dollars as reward.

John Kilsh, director at Judy Garland museum in Grand Rapids, Minnesota claims that the donor is a big fan of the movie, the Guardian reported.

He also said that the shoes were insured for 1 million dollars, but now could be worth two to three million dollars.

Adrian Greenberg, MGM’s chief costume designer had crafted the iconic shoes in the 1930s, and while several pairs were made for the movie, only four remain in circulation which are kept in the Smithsonian museum in Washington.
