In the wake of holding his first Cabinet meeting, Uttar Pradesh’s new Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a press conference and explained what will be the focus of the new Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Lucknow. He started by saying that the UP economy has been severely impacted by the policies that have been followed by the previous governments (last one being Samajwadi Party-led Akhilesh Yadav administration). He also highlighted the law and order problem faced across the state by the common people. He said that the roadmap adopted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre would be followed by his government and ensure that the common man is benefitted and also bring an end to poverty without discriminating in any way against any caste or community. He says that due priority will be given to job creation for the youth. He has said that the onus of carrying out this transformational change would be on the administration and bureaucracy and they will be held responsible and accountable for the same.
