Smriti Irani, theUnion minister for textiles came forward to speak about the BJP’s victory in the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls came forward and said that Priyanka Gandhi was a paper tiger was and said that was evident in the verdict people have given. She also said that people can read through those who can deliver and those who cannot. Speaking at the BJP party headquarters, she said that Amit Shah and Narendra Modi complement each other very well. She said , Amit Shah had delivered for BJP, not only in terms of winning assembly elections but also other issues. She said that BJP has got absolute mandate to rule and people across caste and religion have voted for BJP.

Earlier, Smriti Irani had campaigned for her party in Uttar Pradesh where she took on Priyanka Gandhi, whose brother and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has teamed up with the Samajwadi Party and Akhilesh Yadav for the ongoing Assembly elections in the state. Speaking about the people of Amethi, a key constituency for the Congress, Ms Irani said that Priyanka Gandhi is not campaigning here because she cannot face the people and their questions.

Ms Irani, who was addressing a press conference in Amethi, said that despite losing the Lok Sabha election from Amethi in 2014 to Rahul Gandhi she has been working regularly for the people of the constituency. Priyanka Gandhi, however, has been avoiding to campaign in Amethi because of “unfulfilled promises,” Ms Irani said, claiming that “Priyanka (Gandhi) wants to avoid people’s questions.”

    Priyanka hi may have well realised the reality. People need their upliftment ; they are no more interested in fake speeches.
