In an indirect reply, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday took a jibe at PM Narendra Modi and said that ‘he likes to peep into people’s bathroom and search on Google.’ Congress vice-president’s statement was an indirect reply to PM Modi’s earlier of jibe on Rahul Gandhi for jokes, and Ex-PM Manmohan Singh on scams in UPA regime. The Prime Minister had on Friday said that Rahul is the most joked politician on Google. He asked the crowd to Google the Congress Vice President and find out for themselves the sheer number of jokes on Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi’s acts have even made senior Congress leaders staying away from the young leader. PM Modi questioned the intelligence of the UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and said that he chose to make an alliance with someone who has managed to keep his own at bay.
PM Modi’s “Raincoat” Remark Irks Congress Leaders
The Prime Minister further targetted the Samajwadi Party government over the worsening law and order situation in the state. PM Modi questioned the attitude of Akhilesh Yadav over the security of women. Citing the Bulandshahr rape case, where two women had been gang raped in the middle of the day, the PM said that no strict measures were taken by the Chief Minister who had instead blamed the media. He asked the crowd to recall some of the statements made by leaders of the Samajwadi Party. He even targetted Mulayam Singh Yadav over his remarks made on rape a few years ago, where he had said that rapes happen by mistakes and boys would always be boys.
Taking a dig at ex-PM, PM Modi had said only Manmohan ji known the art of wearing a raincoat while taking a bath. PM Modi made the comments while addressing the Rajya Sabha as a reply to the debate on the motion of thanks to the President’s address.
