While addressing a rally at the Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Akhilesh Yadav says that his work speaks but every child in UP knows that his exploits speak more than his work. He said, “Akhilesh says kaam bolta hai but bacha bacha janta hai apke Karname bolte hai’.
He also took a shot at other political leaders by saying Mulayam Singh reached where he wanted to reach, Mayawati reached where he wanted to reach and so did Akhilesh but they left you here to suffer.
He said that in India there are so many villages and districts where development is not taking place. “If I have to make a list of 100 such districts, then Badaun will be one of them. Because, of your love and blessings we were able to form the government at centre and I became the Prime Minister,” he added.

Modi said that the day he became the Prime Minister he decided that his government will work for the poor and farmers. He said that he immediately called a meeting with electricity officials and asked them it’s been 70- years since Independence, tell how many villages in India do not have have electricity supply yet. The officials told me there are about 18,000 villages in this country that have not seen electricity.
“In Uttar Pradesh alone, there were about 1500 villages that never got a electricity poll. In fact, you’ll be surprised to know that our candidate lost in Badaun in 2014 but these are my people and this my villages. This is why I made sure that 500 villages of this district get electricity,” he added.
Prime Minister also said that in this district there is there is a MLA who is from Samajwadi Party and Akhilesh Yadav’s favourite and he gave a statement, “MLA Sapa ka, sarkar sapa ka”.
He said that If Akhliesh Yadav would have been questioned about the corruption charges on his cousin who is a leader from Badaun, he would have replied ‘why do you care? It isn’t happening at your city. But, if these people were actually working, why didn’t 500 villages get electricity.

“India is now among 3 or 5 countries in the world who have this sort of technology. I want to congratulate Indian scientists for this achievement. If somebody wants a proof of this, they can go above 150 kilometres and watch it. But, I know they won’t, they will only question after the elections. ,” he added.
