Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav addressed a rally in Jhansi along with Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi. He said, “Want to tell BJP that it is not the alliance of two families but of two young politicians to bring about change.” He took a jibe at Prime Minister Modi and said, “PM talks about blood pressure, once election results are out all BJP leader will have to get their blood pressure checked.” After Akhilesh Yadav, Rahul gandhi took the stage and said, “Chunaav ke baad Modi ji wapas Delhi jayenge aur 2019 tak unke muh se Uttar Pradesh shabd nahi niklega”(After the elections, PM Nodi will go back to Delhi and till 2019 he will take take Uttar Pradesh’s name).

Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in the Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh, while the state is in its third phase of elections. He talked about the development of UP and how it should begin again at a fast pace and said, “Vanvaas of Vikas in Uttar Pradesh must end now; Country is moving ahead at fast pace & so must Uttar Pradesh.” He also talked about the Samajwadi Party and their allinace with the Congress Party. He said, “SP ne socha ki prachar karke logon ki aankon mein dhool jhonkenge aur log kuch dekh nahi paayenge; par janta sab jaanti hai. (Samajwadi Party thought that they can fool people with their publicity and they will not be able to see anything but what they don’t know is that people know everything.)”
He took a jibe at the SP-Congress alliance and said, “Unhone socha tu bhi doob raha hai, mai bhi doob raha hu, arrey chalo yaar haanth pakad lein, saath bach jayein. Jab unhone hath pakda, tab nikle rath par. Taar k taar latak rahe the, kaanp rahe the ki current na lag jaye; Akhilesh nhi,unke naye saathi.” he went on to say that “SP did not respect ideals of Ram Manohar Lohia ji by allying with the Congress.”
